Hotel SolyMar

The Hotel Solymar started its business when the first scientists taveled to the islands in order to work at the Cherles Darwin Scientific Station. Believing in the potentials of these beautiful islands concerning tourism, a small ware house was turned into a simple, but comfortable room with the best view that Port Ayora could offer.

According to the increasing demand, other rooms were added. The restaurant was build under the same goal as the accommodations: sharing all the big and little wonders that nature of the Galapagos provides, like for example the ingredients to prepare exquisite, traditional food like it is done at the Solymar.
Only some years ago the hotel Solymar was rebuilt to fulfil the needs and desires of all passengers that were currently visiting the islands and following future trends.

Today the hotel offers the same privileged location, 17 comfortable, modern and functional rooms that allow to enjoy the most spectacular sea view, and facilities that help to admire amazing species. Our staff is a group of wonderful persons and offers you a personalized service.
